Work with Food Creators and Influencers
Mosey · 22 September 2026 · 3 min read

A good piece of content from the right food creator puts your venue in front of thousands of local people who are already deciding where to eat. Booking one usually means awkward negotiation over direct messages and a risky payment. Mosey makes it a normal transaction.
Find the right creator
Browse creator profiles and filter by niche, platform, minimum follower count and rating. Each profile shows their platforms and follower counts, their priced packages, their completed bookings and their star rating, so you know who you are dealing with before you commit.
Book a defined package, not a vague arrangement
Creators publish priced packages — a defined bundle such as one reel plus two stories — so you know exactly what you are buying. Fixed-price packages can be booked directly with a full price preview before you commit, and you can attach a brief describing what you want made.
No haggling, no ambiguity about what was agreed.
Escrow protects both sides
When you book, your card is charged for the full amount and Mosey holds it. The creator delivers the content and pastes in the live post links. You confirm you are happy, and only then is their payment released.
You never pay for work that was not delivered. If something is not as agreed, you raise a dispute rather than the money releasing automatically.
That protection runs both ways, which is why good creators use it: they never do the work without knowing the money is already there.
Honest ratings on both sides
After a booking completes, you and the creator each leave a rating under a blind double-review: neither sees the other's until both have submitted. It keeps feedback honest rather than retaliatory, and it is what makes the ratings on those profiles worth reading.
What it costs
2.5% commission for you, and 2.5% on the creator's side, plus VAT on Mosey's fee.
Stated that way round on purpose: it is 2.5% on top of the package price for the venue, not a single fee somebody has to absorb. Compared with the cost of arranging this privately — and the risk of paying up front to somebody you have not worked with — it is a small amount for a transaction that is actually enforceable.
Setting it up
- Browse and filter by platform, follower count and rating, and read a few profiles properly.
- Look at completed bookings and reviews, not just follower counts. Someone with 4,000 engaged local followers usually beats 40,000 scattered ones for a restaurant.
- Pick a package rather than asking for a custom arrangement first time.
- Write a real brief — what you want shown, when, and anything that must not appear.
- Book, and let escrow hold it. You confirm when the content is live and the links are in.
- Leave an honest rating. It is blind, so it costs you nothing to be accurate.
What it connects to
- Menus and dishes — a creator shooting your food gives you photography your dish pages can use.
- Contractors — if you want a photographer or food stylist rather than an audience, that is the contractor marketplace instead.
- Boost — amplify the content afterwards to your own followers and nearby customers.
Questions
Common questions
What does booking a creator cost?
2.5% commission on top of the package price, plus VAT on that commission. Creators pay 2.5% on their side.
How does escrow work?
Your card is charged when you book and Mosey holds the money. The creator delivers and adds the live post links, you confirm, and only then is their payment released.
What if the creator does not deliver?
The money is not released. You confirm completion before anything is paid out, and if something is not as agreed you raise a dispute rather than the funds releasing automatically.
What is a package?
A defined, priced bundle of deliverables published by the creator, for example one reel plus two stories. You see exactly what you are buying and the full price before you commit.
Can I brief the creator?
Yes. You attach a brief to the booking describing what you want made, which becomes part of what you are confirming against.
How do I know a creator is any good?
Profiles show platforms, follower counts, completed bookings and a star rating from blind double-reviews, where neither side sees the other's rating until both have submitted.
What is the difference between a creator and a contractor?
A creator brings an audience. A contractor brings a skill. If you want a food photographer or stylist for your own menu shots rather than someone posting to their following, use the contractor marketplace.
Can I use the content afterwards?
That depends on what you agree in the brief, so state it there. The content the creator posts is theirs to post; anything you want to reuse should be agreed up front.
