How Mosey works

A rating is one person writing about one meal. The same person can rate a place again on a later visit, and both count, so a place's page can show somebody's opinion changing over time. The number of ratings shown on a card counts people rather than visits, so one enthusiast rating ten times does not read as ten customers.

Gold is a mark a place earns from its ratings, and it replaces the score rather than sitting next to it. A place earns it when its average is high enough and keeps it until that average falls some way further, so it does not flicker on and off over a single rating. It cannot be bought, and nothing else on Mosey is allowed to change how prominent a place is.

Only places somebody has rated, or that have claimed their listing, get a page on this site. If a place is missing here, rating it in the app is what brings it in. If a detail is wrong on a listing the venue has claimed, the venue can fix it in their dashboard.

This site is the readable part of Mosey. Rating a meal, keeping lists and following people all live in the app, where your account is. Everything you can see here started as somebody doing one of those things in it.

You can claim your listing, correct the details, add your menu and photographs, and reply to ratings. Claiming is free, and it is what turns an imported entry into your page. Start at moseyfoodfinder.com/forbusiness.

Ratings, photographs and lists can all be reported in the app. Reported content is hidden while it is reviewed, and content upheld as breaking the guidelines is removed and stops counting towards anything.
